About The Role
As Procurement Systems and Governance Officer, you will join the Procurement Operations team and play a key role in maintaining, improving and ensuring compliance across the council's procurement systems and processes. You will focus on strengthening procurement governance, enhancing data quality and building capability across the organisation to support consistent and efficient procurement practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver administration, maintenance and documentation of procurement and contract management systems, ensuring data integrity and alignment with governance frameworks
* Provide internal advice and recommendations to managers regarding systems, governance processes, compliance improvements, and procedural updates
* Facilitate training, capability uplift and guidance to embed strong system use and governance practices
* Provide technical support to data validation processes, including audits, root‐cause analysis and resolution of discrepancies with stakeholders

About You
* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline is desirable
* Experience in developing and maintaining complex processes, as well as co‐ordinating process and system‐related projects
* Experience in procurement governance, data validation, data auditing, compliance monitoring, system administration, and delivering training or capability uplift across an organisation
* Desired qualities such as being analytical, detail‐focused, solutions‐oriented, able to support change, and confident in facilitating training and engaging stakeholders
