Sankey Fraser Eyecare, an independent optometry practice serving the Toowoomba community for 100 years, is seeking a full-time Optical Dispenser & Receptionist. We take pride in delivering exceptional eyecare and personalised service, and we're looking for someone to help us continue this tradition.
About the Role:
This is a versatile full-time position combining optical dispensing and reception duties:
* Full-time hours with regular weekday schedule non-negotiable
* Rotating Thursday nights (7pm) and Saturday mornings (8:15-11:30am)
* Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with Practice Management Software is essential for success in this role
As an Optical Dispenser & Receptionist, You Will:
In this dual role, you'll be the face of our practice and a crucial part of our eyecare team:
* Perform reception duties, including managing appointments and phone calls
* Greet and assist patients, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter
* Interpret optical prescriptions
* Offer fashion and optical advice to patients
* Repair and adjust spectacle frames
* Dispense optical orders
* Assist with overall patient care and pre-testing

* Optical experience highly desired, however backgrounds in medical reception roles will be considered
