Job Title: Recreation Facility Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recreation Facility Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality health, fitness, and recreation services.
The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operation of fitness centres and sports facilities across all campuses, ensuring seamless and engaging experiences for members, students, and the wider university community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations of Deakin's fitness centres and recreation facilities.
* Recruit, onboard, and support fitness centre staff, including coaching, rostering, and contributing to professional development and wellbeing.
* Support business and marketing planning by contributing to the development and implementation of the annual Business Plan.
* Manage facility scheduling and bookings, including external tenants and casual hirers.
* Monitor industry trends and member insights; conduct member surveys and apply findings to enhance programs and customer experience.
Qualifications:
* A Degree in Exercise and Sports Science or equivalent.
* Extensive experience in the fitness industry, including health club/fitness centre operations.
* Proficiency with CRM and fitness-specific software.
* Ability to manage complex operating budgets and negotiate commercial stakeholder agreements.
