A leading Australian organisation is seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to support a high profile Customer Identity and Access Management function within a complex, highly regulated environment.
You are a compliance, risk or controls professional with experience working across customer facing processes, regulatory obligations, operational risk, control monitoring and business improvement.
This role will play a key part in strengthening compliance oversight across customer onboarding, identity verification, authentication, fraud prevention and customer data processes. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Product, Engineering, Sales, Service, Customer Insights and Marketing, you will help ensure customer identity processes are secure, compliant, well monitored and aligned to policy.
The Opportunity
You will support compliance activity across a broad customer identity and authentication program, with a focus on controls, monitoring, reporting, policy adherence and risk identification. The role requires a strong operator who can work with data, understand process risk, identify gaps and translate compliance requirements into practical business actions.
Key focus areas include:
* Monitoring compliance controls across end to end customer identity and authentication processes
* Reviewing reporting across customer channels, systems, segments and operational scenarios
* Identifying compliance gaps, exceptions, process failures and emerging risks
* Supporting adherence to internal verification and authentication policies
* Helping prevent fraud, identity theft and customer account issues
* Partnering with business, technology, risk and finance teams to improve control outcomes
* Supporting the development of reporting dashboards and control monitoring insights
* Translating regulatory obligations and internal policy requirements into clear business actions
* Supporting the rollout of new identity verification and authentication services
* Providing clear, practical updates to senior stakeholders on compliance risks and control effectiveness
About You
You bring strong compliance judgement, attention to detail and the ability to operate across complex customer, risk and technology environments.

* Experience across compliance, risk, controls, assurance, audit or regulatory operations
* Exposure to telecommunications, banking, financial services, utilities, technology or another regulated environment
* Strong understanding of compliance monitoring, control effectiveness and policy adherence
* Experience working with customer identity, onboarding, authentication, fraud, billing, credit or customer data processes would be highly regarded
* Ability to work with dashboards, data and reporting to identify issues and trends
* Strong stakeholder management skills across business, risk, technology and operational teams
* The ability to turn complex compliance requirements into practical actions
* Strong written communication, reporting capability and attention to detail
* Sound judgement, resilience and comfort working in a fast-moving environment

Casual Loading: Please note for all Australian based contract and temporary roles only, the pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading. This excludes permanent and fixed term roles.
