Additional Information:
- Permanent Part-time, 60hrs/fortnight (Livingroom department)
- Permanent Full-time, 60hrs/fortnight (Kitchen Planning department)
- The internal job title is Sales Co-worker
- The shift times required to work will be spread between 10:00am to 7:30pm and 9:30pm (Thursday - Saturday).
- As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

**About this work area**
As Showroom Sales Assistant (Kitchen Planning) your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Be an IKEA Ambassador by understanding that you impact our customer's experience by being able to offer solutions and answer questions that relate to their kitchen and home furnishing needs.
- Actively approach customers to identify their needs by asking insightful questions and advising them on the best kitchen solutions for them.
- Supporting customers with their kitchen design process using the kitchen planning 3D rendering software and accessory workshop. You will build strong relationships with the customer throughout their planning journey.
- Responsible for ensuring that the sales area is stocked, presentable, attractively merchandised and correctly priced.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Stay knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits.
As Showroom Sales Assistant (Livingroom) your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Approach arriving and browsing customers. Identify their overall need to support them in the best way by asking the right questions.
- Actively participating in selling products with a positive attitude and contribute to business goals and growth.
- Prepare product presentation and secure merchandising basics. Ensure all customer material and digital solutions are ready to use - to give customers a positive shopping experience.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Stay knowledgeable about in-store specials, delivery options, product features and benefits.
As Showroom Sales Assistant you are or have:
- Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, ideally within the furniture, colour consulting or high-value items retail industry.
- Passionate about home furnishings and appreciator of quality focusing on maintaining a high level of product knowledge and sharing the IKEA product range with customers.
- A strong customer-focused mindset, always striving to deliver a memorable shopping experience.
- An authentic approach in generating sales, whilst maintaining a professional, self-motivated attitude towards meeting sales targets and KPIs.
- Clear and concise communication skills, a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- A 'Togetherness' mindset with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team environment.
