Wagga Wagga Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC) is the premier livestock selling centre in Australia for the marketing of cattle, sheep and lambs. This traineeship provides hands-on experience across administration and customer service while completing a nationally recognised qualification. Working in a fast-paced and unique environment, you will support the team in delivering efficient operations, particularly during livestock sale days. What we will offer: Above award rates! Commencing salary of $1,393.52 gross per fortnight plus superannuation (at 18 years of age or older), varying rates subject to age and experience as per award provisions A part time (32 hours), 4-day work week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) The opportunity to obtain a nationally recognised qualification with paid study time each week Practical, on-the-job experience A supportive team environment with experienced mentors The opportunity to build a strong foundation for your future career Your new role: Provide administrative support and customer service to LMC clients Assist with communication between customers and the LMC team Learn to operate sale day systems, including ring and scale computers Accurately record and process livestock sales data Assist with preparing correspondence and reports Maintain records and complete general administrative duties This role is best suited to someone with: strong communication and interpersonal skills a willingness to learn and follow instructions reliability, motivation and initiative the ability to work both independently and as part of a team good computer skills, including Microsoft Office effective time management and attention to detail an interest in customer service and/or the livestock industry What you will need to succeed: Class P1, P2 or C Driver’s Licence (desirable) Willingness to work and study, undertaking a Certificate III in Business or other relevant qualification A General Construction Induction Card (White Card) is desirable but not essential A positive attitude and strong work ethic In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, Q Fever vaccination is required for some areas of council such as the Livestock Marketing Centre (LMC).
