Details: Sport and Recreation is looking for a highly capable and motivated Assistant Director to join its Planning and Infrastructure team. The successful applicant will bring strong project management experience and the ability to confidently juggle multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment. You will be a skilled writer with excellent attention to detail, capable of producing clear, accurate and timely advice.
As Assistant Director, you will support a diverse portfolio of sport and recreation infrastructure projects, undertake data analysis and research, and contribute to policy development. Reporting to the Director, you will help drive government priorities from initial concept through to facility openings, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your expertise will be critical in providing oversight of facility planning and delivering high quality advice on infrastructure development, while working closely with the local sporting community.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
* To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
* If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
* Hold significant building or Infrastructure knowledge and/or project management experience.
Highly desirable
* Proven experience in managing and delivering projects in a sport and recreation environment and a sound understanding of the sport and recreation sector in Australia.
