We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of organizing and prioritizing tasks dealing with high volume work effectively.
The ability to work well within a team environment, physical fitness for repetitive tasks and heavy lifting, and availability from Monday to Friday are essential requirements.
While warehouse experience is not mandatory, we offer comprehensive training for successful candidates. This position starts as casual employment, with strong potential for permanent full-time opportunities for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process daily domestic orders (including spares) on a daily basis to meet deadlines and work in an autonomous manner, including accurate picking and packing of the order; finalising the order in Pronto (editing line qty's picked if required); consigning the order, in the relevant freight companies dispatch system.
* Physical dispatch of all orders, including: Loading of freight into vans, trucks or shipping container either manually by hand, or by materials handling equipment (forklifts etc if required). Filling in and signing for any paperwork / consignment notes.
* Bring to the attention of the supervisor any stock anomalies or requirements to fulfill orders.
* Ensure all use of materials handling equipment in the warehouse is performed in a safe manner so as not to damage equipment, cause injury to yourself or others and that any faults, or potential faults are reported to the supervisor.
* Maintain a clean and tidy work environment, including broom sweeping, using electric sweeper, or vacuum cleaner.
* Assist / backup for receiving store person and picking for production duties as required.
* Use safe manual handling techniques at all times.
* Support any stock taking requirements as required.
* Adherence to Macnaught's Workplace Health & Safety Policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety, WH&S – Support of all WH&S programs, PPE etc.
