The Role
We are seeking a motivatedBusiness Development Specialistto drive our early-stage sales pipeline and support the growth of our business.
In this role, you will generate and qualify new opportunities while modelling best-practice business development behaviors.
You will provide coaching and guidance to junior BD staff, ensuring the APS Sales Process and Playbook are consistently applied and that accurate pipeline forecasting is maintained to support strategic business decisions.
Your focus will be on leading Discovery and Qualification activities, assisting junior staff with opportunity follow-ups, and promoting effective BD practices across the team.
By driving consistency, efficiency, and discipline in early-stage sales activities, you will enable senior team members to concentrate on high-value opportunities and building strong client relationships.
We offering a competitive salary of up to $160k for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Generate high-quality leads and progress them through early-stage sales.
Conduct structured discovery conversations and qualify new opportunities.
Maintain accurate CRM records and monitor pipeline health.
Follow and champion the APS Sales Process and best-practice BD frameworks.
Coach and mentor junior BD team members, promoting a high-performance culture.
Consistently achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs.
An Ideal Candidate will have the following skills and qualities
A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is highly desirable.
Minimum of 4 years' experience in Business Development or a similar sales-focused role.
Knowledge of the building and mechanical construction industry is advantageous but not required.
Experience with Zoho, CRM systems, and Microsoft 365 Office is highly desirable but not essential.
Charismatic and personable, with the ability to build strong, genuine relationships.
Agile and resourceful, adjusting quickly to evolving circumstances.
Self-driven and action-oriented, able to make decisions and take initiative independently.
Ability to analyse sales data and generate reports.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
Creative thinker with the ability to develop innovative approaches to connect with clients and generate opportunities.
