We have a unique opportunity for a Superintendent Regional Operations to join our team and provide critical support across our various NSW Operations. We are seeking a true SME in earthmoving tyre fitting procedures, specifically within a Mining environment. This role will provide support and services associated with safety, operational training, and compliance, including planning, and executing independent compliance audits across our NSW sites.
This is a full-time role 5 days a week and will be based in our Mt Thorley office with regular travel across some of our NSW sites to ensure consistent support across all operations.
Operations Regional Superintendent
The Superintendent Regional Operations is a pivotal role within Otraco, delivering business outcomes through relationships and interfaces between Otraco management teams, client leaders and OEM's. Reporting to the Operations Manager - East, this role is responsible for safely delivering the tyre management scope of work, operational KPI's and objectives across multiple sites. With regular site visits, your leadership skills will ensure all tasks are delivered safely with a focus on innovation and collaboration whilst growing a culture of care, accountability, and continuous improvement.
About You
You will have proven project management experience managing remote workforces across multiple locations, driven by the standardisation of safe practices. You will have a strong background in the resources industry with a sound knowledge of mining procedures and legislation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Operational experience in the earthmover tyre, mining or related industry in a Supervisor, Superintendent, or management role.
Strong focus and commitment to health & safety
Sound knowledge of tyres or mining/heavy haulage industries
Experience leading large geographically disperse multi-disciplinary teams.
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing business improvement and safety improvement initiatives in remote teams.
Experience in standardising and aligning work processes across a geographically disperse business.
Experience in business development and client engagement.
Strong communication, negotiation, influencing and presentation skills
Certificate II in Automotive Mechanical - Tyre fitting Heavy (AUR 21920); Essential
Knowledge of tyres, rims and tyre management systems or mining/heavy haulage industries.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably across multiple sites or remote teams.
A valid driver's licence
The role includes building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, it requires an inspirational leader with an ability to drive a culture of safety and excellence.
