OverviewMeeka Metals Limited (MEK) operates the Murchison Gold Project, producing gold 50km north of Meekatharra in Western Australia.
The project is a combined open pit and underground gold mining operation with an initial 10-year mine life.
First gold was produced in July 2025 and site activities are ramping up.
We require Laboratory Technicians for our owner-operator laboratory to support this ramp up in mining and processing operations.About the roleYou will be responsible for reliable, efficient and accurate analysis of grade control and process samples on a day to day basis.
The role includes, but is not limited to:Prepare and analyse samples using PAL and AAS methods.Daily instrument maintenance and general housekeeping.Effectively communicating between laboratory, metallurgy and geology departments.Maintaining of operational safety equipment.About YouLaboratory experience is essential for this role.Certificate IV in laboratory techniques is desirable, but not essential.Ability to work within a small team to achieve key objectives.Robust organisational skills.Computer literacy skills are required.AccommodationYou will be accommodated in a well-appointed mine village with a fully equipped gym, recreation room, WIFI with streaming capacity and full Telstra coverage.
