Master of Teaching Secondary- Online Facilitator

As an experienced online educator, the candidate will work as an independent contractor of LINC Education to offer online facilitation services for students studying in the Master of Teaching (Secondary) offered by Victoria University Online. The educator will be responsible for the day-to-day academic support and delivery responsibilities, as well as providing a high level of 1:1 student support.

LINC Education is looking for qualified educators for any of the following units:

- EED7001 Research Methods in Education - 05th Jan 2026 - 28th February 2026
- EED6104 Professional Practice and Student Wellbeing - 05th Jan 2026 - 28th February 2026

Details regarding the units are provided in Annexure 1.

Selected applicants will be engaged as independent contractors and will be offered a competitive fixed remuneration of $6800 to manage a class of approximately 25 students. Further upsides are available based on larger batch sizes as well as achievement-related increments of up to 20%.

The role requires you to commit 10-15 hours per week during an 8-week study period, preceded by predeployment training.

Responsibilities

LINC Fellows will be responsible for providing subject matter guidance to a group of 25-30 postgraduate online students through email/text / 1-1 online sessions on the following areas:

- Learning skills like academic writing, research, and time management
- Guidance on relevant reference material
- Assessment marking with long-form feedback
- Moderating discussion forums and online learning activities
- Proactive, prompt, and personalized support to student queries and issues

Selection Criteria

A Doctoral qualification or Master's Degree in Teaching and/or the relevant discipline area, or equivalent accreditation and standing.

For MOT Secondary: 3 years of relevant secondary school teaching, research, and/or professional experience in the last 5 years.

Active registration with one of the state teacher registration authorities.

Full working rights to work within Australia.

An Australian Business Number or ABN, as a sole trader, or of the entity that will contract with LINC.
