Join Al-lmran Enterprise, a thriving leader in fibre, copper, and civil infrastructure construction projects for top-tiertelecommunication carriers and ICT network providers Australia-wide. As we have secured contracts to work on newdevelopment projects such as On-demand Module, BDM, SD1/SD2 and N2P, we are seeking an experienced Network Planner to strengthen our team in Melbourne's western suburbs.
As a Network Planner, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and coordination of telecommunications network infrastructure, ensuring efficient and reliable data communication for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, design, and develop customer access telecommunications network infrastructure in line with project requirements and industry standards.
* Install, maintain, repair, and improve faults in fibre and copper networks, ensuring all civil works such as trenching, conduit placement, and pit construction are completed to industry standards and project specifications.
* Integrate and configure network and telecommunications technology with IT systems, including software, hardware, databases, and operating systems.
· Conduct site surveys to assess existing infrastructure and determine optimal routes for new installations.
· Maintain accurate documentation of network assets, including cables, pits, conduits, and equipment.
· Diagnose and resolve faults in fibre and copper networks, coordinating civil repairs as needed.
· Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to manage civil works and installation schedules.
· Monitor compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulatory requirements for all infrastructure projects.
· Provide technical support and guidance for cablers and other technicians
· Analyse network performance and recommend upgrades to meet future demand and improve efficiency.
· Ensure quality assurance and implement corrective actions for network and civil infrastructure projects.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Telecommunications Technology or related field, or at least 3 years of full-time relevant work experience.
* Experience with NBN Fixed Wireless and Enterprise Ethernet is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated expertise in site surveys and fibre network planning.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess network requirements and implement effective solutions.
* Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and technical support.
