We're now seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our growing team, maintaining and repairing critical plant and equipment across our network.
The OpportunityWe're seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter with experience in heavy plant maintenance, ideally from industries like mining, construction, transport, or agriculture.
This hands-on role involves both workshop and field work, focusing on the diagnosis, repair, and servicing of mechanical systems across ARTC's fleet.
You'll maintain specialised rail equipment such as tamping machines, ballast regulators, track stabilizers, and rail grinders, along with hi-rail vehicles, excavators, loaders, and other mobile plant used in rail construction and maintenance.
Please Note: This is a dual role split between workshop (M-F) with required field travel the other 50% of the time.
Travel requirements may be 3-8 days at a time, subject to project requirements.
Flexibility is essential.
