We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to be second-in-command in our kitchen, supporting our Head Chef in delivering an outstanding dining experience for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Head Chef in leading the kitchen team and managing daily operations.
* Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals that meet resident dietary needs and preferences.
* Maintain the highest standards of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and compliance.
* Step up and lead the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent experience.
* Experience as a Chef, with some supervisory or leadership exposure.
* Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
* A passion for food and a genuine desire to make a difference in aged care.
* Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.
