The Area Manager II position involves developing Hunter's business in assigned territories through strategic planning and execution.
Key responsibilities include communicating with regional teams, next-level managers, and customers to ensure seamless business operations. Additional duties may involve training, education, and specification for contractors, distributors, designers, and government agencies. Technical support will also be provided as needed.
As a vital role in product development and launch, the successful candidate must demonstrate behavior consistent with Hunter's values of Customer Satisfaction, Innovation, Family, and Social Responsibility.
The preferred location for this role is Brisbane or surrounding areas due to proximity to assigned territories.
Essential Job Functions/Tasks:
1. Develops strategic plans to maximize exposure, sales, and success within designated territories. Collaborates with various stakeholders to facilitate demand for Hunter products and achieve distribution goals.
2. Serves as a local intermediary between management and stakeholders, providing updates on events, territory occurrences, and other relevant information. Supports customer success by keeping them informed about all purchased products and offering training as necessary.
3. Manages individual budgets allocated to achieve business objectives. Maintains budgetary control, identifies cost-saving opportunities, and seeks approval for expenses outside of allocated funds.
4. Executes customer training programs, trade shows, and promotional events within designated territories.
5. Provides field service and support as required, utilizing various communication channels (phone, e-mail, onsite visits) to address customer needs. May provide guidance on warranty policies and procedures according to company guidelines.
6. Assists in collecting data for forecasts and market reports, focusing on product lines, prices, distribution, and competitor policies.
7. Monitors customer credit issues and recommends adjustments to credit lines when necessary.
8. Supports the process of recommending changes to product distribution strategies as needed.
9. If necessary, develops relationships with irrigation consultants, landscape architects, municipalities, and local government agencies to promote Hunter products and features for project specifications.
10. May be required to travel throughout Queensland and occasionally internationally (passports required).
