* Operational Staff Grade 4 – Salary from $83,099 to $89,070 per annum (FTE) plus super

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Farm Supervisor to join the team at the Wollongbar Primary Industries Institute. This hands-on operational role is based at Wollongbar Research Station and includes work across our other sites at Pearces Creek, Duck Creek and Alstonville research farms.

Reporting to the Farm Manager, you'll:

* Oversee daily farming and field maintenance work
* Supervise staff and contractors
* Ensure safe, efficient and high-standard farm operations.
* Support research trials and seasonal activity planning
* Maintain equipment, manage resources and keep farm infrastructure in good working order.

This role combines practical farming responsibilities with supporting research programs, all within a commercially focused environment.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

* Current knowledge and practical experience applying best practice farming in a commercial environment
* Experience with machinery operation and general farm maintenance
* A current driver's licence
* Chemical certification, or a willingness to obtain one
* A forklift licence (desirable)

About You

You're an adaptable, team-focused leader with a practical approach to work and the ability to manage shifting priorities across a busy farm environment. You plan and coordinate tasks confidently, communicate well, and work collaboratively to keep operations running smoothly.

You're committed to learning, sharing knowledge and contributing positively to the team. Experience in horticulture and/or livestock management is highly valued, as are skills in metal work and fencing.
