The Hospitality, Culinary and Tourism team at CIT is looking for an experienced patisserie professional to teach Certificate III in Patisserie. In this role, you'll inspire students with your creativity and technical expertise, sharing the craft of creating exquisite pastries and desserts through hands-on training in a dynamic, real-world learning environment.
An additional qualification in Cake and Pastry and/or Bread Baking will be highly regarded, as this position may involve teaching across multiple programs. You'll also take on tasks such as food ordering, packaging, minimising food wastage, and maintaining kitchens and equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Strong digital skills are essential, as we use a range of programs to train, assess, record data, and communicate with students and colleagues.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS/LICENCING
Refer to the ACTPS CIT Educators EA, sub-Clause M10.4.
All new employees at engaged at or below the Educator Level 1.2 (TL1.6) with Vocational Education Training (VET) responsibilities must:
* hold a Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent); or
* where the full qualification is not held, hold as a minimum prior to employment as an employee in any form, qualifications as required by the Standards for RTOs; and
* complete the full qualification within 12 months of engagement and be supervised by a suitably qualified person.
Clause M10.8 states that all employees at Educator Level 1.3 (TL1.7) to the Head of Department Level must hold a full Training and Assessment Certificate IV level qualification (such as a TAE40116 or equivalent) and a Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (or equivalent).
INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE
In accordance with sub-Clause M10.10 of the ACTPS CIT Educators EA .
* All employees at Educator Level 1 or Level 2 are required to have relevant industry experience and vocational qualifications equal to that being taught, or as specified in the applicable training package or accredited curriculum specifications. Certificate III in Patisserie or equivalent
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
* High level computer literacy
* Experience navigating an on-line learning platform.
* Knowledge of the Australian Apprenticeship system.
* Certificate III in Baking
* Certificate III in Bread Baking
* Certificate III in Cake and Pastry
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
