We are looking for Tender & Bid Writers to lead end-to-end development of high-quality tenders and proposals that secure crucial funding for our broad range of Housing projects and showcase the organisation's capacity and capability to deliver Housing initiatives through the creation of compelling and persuasive content. In this vital role with us, you’ll be at the forefront of pursuing funding opportunities, responding to Government tenders, and developing bids that align with Mission Australia’s (MA’s) vision to end homelessness and support individuals and families, contributing to long-term housing outcomes and stability for people across Australia. You will leverage your exceptional writing, analytical and project coordination skills to translate technical and strategic information into clear, persuasive narratives. You’ll work closely with a variety of internal stakeholders to curate strong, evidence-based submissions that effectively capture MA’s value proposition to achieve clarity, quality and positive outcomes for people seeking our support. Your key responsibilities will be to: Develop and write compelling tender submissions to win funding and support for Mission Australia Housing’s (MAH’s) aim to increase the supply of Housing options for current and future generations. Build effective and productive working relationships with MA internal teams and partnering functions (finance, legal etc), utilising their expertise and direction to craft and coordinate compliant submissions. Work closely with technical advisors and SMEs to effectively curate bid responses and collate supporting documents which articulate MAH’s suitability, knowledge and skills in a compelling and coherent manner. Maintain systems, databases, and workspaces using MAH’s business development tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, and Power BI. Use our preferred project management methodology to coordinate end-to-end tender and bid delivery, ensuring regular updates, appropriate escalation and risk identification Contribute to MAH’s bid library, creating reference content and templates, graphic inputs and good news stories. Use data in the relevant MAH reporting systems to contribute to Business Development reporting, including trend and theme analysis. Work alongside MAH’s Executives, MAH team leaders and the General Manager Business Development on special projects as the need arises. Requirements for success Experience in tender/grant writing in business development or a similar field, with the ability to succinctly convey often complex and technical information and key messages against rigid tender requirements Excellent writing and analytical skills for tenders, proposals, reports and pitch documents. Clear, confident communication and active listening with the ability to present information and decisions concisely. High accuracy and attention to detail; proven track record of meeting deadlines. Demonstrated ability in project coordination, research (qualitative and quantitative), data analysis and reporting. Ability to operate autonomously with initiative and minimal supervision while following guidelines and direction. Demonstrated experience working and collaborating effectively with others, ensuring key stakeholders are engaged, sharing information and ensuring progress, changes and issues are effectively communicated. Understanding of the community housing/community services sector, including government funding practices is desirable but not mandatory. High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint) Familiarity with CRM systems and reporting tools (preferred). Undergraduate qualification in a relevant discipline (preferred). Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check and qualifications/referee checks.
