The role of Senior Legal Counsel involves providing expert legal advice on regulatory matters affecting day-to-day operations. This includes partnering with stakeholders to deliver high-quality advice across key areas.

Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver legal advice across water, property, construction, procurement, environment, freedom of information and privacy law.
* Act as Privacy and FOI Officer ensuring timely and compliant handling of requests in line with statutory requirements.
* Review, draft and negotiate contracts, agreements and legal documents.
* Advise on and manage disputes and litigation coordinating with external advisors and insurers to minimize risk and protect interests.
* Contribute to development and improvement of legal team operations and processes.
What We're Looking For
* Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and admission as a legal practitioner in Australia with post-qualification experience.
* Experience in the water industry or public sector considered favorably.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
* Proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
