About the role

This part-time Playgroup Facilitator role is an exciting opportunity to join Zoe Support Australia, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering young mothers and their children in the Mildura community. As a Playgroup Facilitator, you will be responsible for leading engaging and educational playgroups that support the holistic development of young children and provide a nurturing environment for mothers to connect and learn.

What you'll be doing

1. Design engaging children's activities and facilitate weekly supported playgroup at Zoe Support, including implementing strategies for modelling positive mother-child interactions
2. Oversee playgroup volunteer team and delegate tasks
3. Monitor program budget to maintain accountability for expenditure
4. Attend monthly staff meetings and provide program reports
5. Facilitate community partnerships and represent Zoe Support in the community
6. Contribute to partnerships with important stakeholders in government, community, and community services
7. Participate in professional development, including supporting a culture of reflective practice and quality supervision

What we're looking for

1. Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Care or a related field
2. Demonstrated experience in planning and facilitating engaging playgroup or similar programs for young children and their families
3. Strong understanding of child development and the ability to create activities that support the holistic growth of children
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and provide support to young mothers
5. Flexible, adaptable and able to work collaboratively as part of a close-knit team
6. Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young families and a commitment to the mission of Zoe Support Australia
