Job Opportunity

The role of Student Services Head is pivotal in enhancing student learning outcomes and attendance, with a special focus on supporting students from disadvantaged backgrounds.


About the Position

This critical leadership role involves leading intervention strategies informed by student performance monitoring and behavior, as well as coordinating induction and support programs for new arrivals.


Your Key Responsibilities

* Lead Intervention Strategies: Develop and implement evidence-based strategies to improve student learning outcomes and address attendance issues.
* Strategic Management: Prepare data reports for senior management and create tools to aid the leadership team in decision-making.
* Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with parents, staff, higher education institutions, and external organizations to promote student success.
* Socially Just Practices: Embed equitable practices across the school, particularly those related to attendance and academic achievement. This includes understanding and applying relevant legislation and policy.

This role requires a teacher who can demonstrate teaching competence and lead others towards improved student outcomes. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build and maintain productive relationships within the school and wider community.
