About The Role and the Ideal Person
* Familiarity with the requirements described in rope access procedures and codes of practice is essential.
* The successful candidate will work safely in accordance with task-specific risk management requirements and work directions to deliver quality-controlled services.
* They will prepare detailed rope access work documents including risk assessments, safe work method statements, rescue plans, and toolbox talks.
* The supervisor will exercise stop work authorities as required and report relevant hazards, process deviations, and incidents/events.
* Actively participating in the development of a strong QHSE culture is expected.
* The safety of rope access team members, the public, and worksites is paramount.
* Safe supervision of rope access technicians while working at height is crucial.
* Setting up rope access work fronts including rigging of abseiling/access ropes and standby rescue systems is also required.
* Close monitoring of newly qualified/inexperienced technicians is necessary.
* Adequate rescue provision in accordance with risk assessments and method statements for all rope access work is expected.
* Continual surveying of the worksite for hazard identification is critical.
* Accurate completion of technicians' logbooks is a must.
* Ensuring that all works are carried out in accordance with safety and quality management systems is fundamental.
