About the opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Scheduling Supervisorto join Holcim's Customer Service team, based in East Perth, WA.

In this role you will oversee the day-to-day service and deliveries across our WA network by central scheduling of the fleet - ensuring the proper balance between cost effective delivery, proper fleet and plant network utilisation and customer service. This includes liaising with drivers, concrete plants, quarries - as well as your scheduling/allocation teams and customers to ensure customer service requirements are achieved with on time deliveries whilst reacting to jobsite and demand changes.

You will ensure that truck load sizes are maximised to achieve utilisation targets from the most economical concrete plant or quarry whilst always taking into account the cost of cartage and chain of responsibility (COR) with decision making.

You will also lead the scheduling/allocation team and work with plants and quarries to assist with planning to deliver the scheduled demand.

Further and detailed responsibilities are found in the Position Description which is available upon request and will include:

* Ensuring efficient and effective daily scheduling and dispatching of deliveries to meet customer service and KPI requirements.
* Working with drivers, concrete plants, quarries and your scheduling/allocation teams to ensure the right load goes into the right truck and to the right job.
* Liaising with Schedulers, Account Managers & Site Coordinators to ensure best possible customer service and ensure individual customer requirements are achieved.
* Meeting with our customer Account Managers on site to help resolve any delivery concerns or areas for improvements for upcoming pours.
* Engaging with & coaching schedulers/allocators on continuous improvement for scheduling & planning.
* Actively seeking feedback on site safety from customers, project coordinators, drivers and account managers to ensure safe site deliveries and manage instances that are reported by drivers in relation to safety.
* Capturing and maintaining cycle times and service interruptions to ensure continuous improvement of service levels.
* Communicating effectively to the business around service, including feedback to the CSO to ensure proper order placement & information to maximize truck utilisation and lowest cost of cartage.

About you:

* Transport/ logistics scheduling experience preferably in the pre-mix concrete or distribution industry.
* Credible supervisory experience.
* Qualifications in logistics or supply chain would be well regarded.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Logistics/ transport continuous improvement/ optimisation experience.
* Strong knowledge of Perth geographical areas and suburb locations including regional geographical areas, primarily Southwest WA and Avon Regions (preferred).
* A self-motivated and outcomes-oriented attitude with a passionate `can do' mindset.
* A well-developed understanding of the importance of and ability to effectively communicate and build relationships both externally and within the business.
* Highly effective skills at managing key stakeholder relationships.
* A strong team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* A proficiency in Word, Excel and other systems required to do the role effectively.
