Lead Electrical Engineer - Distribution Network Design
Join a team of experienced engineers to lead and coordinate complex electrical design projects for the distribution network.
* Coordinate project inputs/outputs, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance with standards.
* Complete documentation, assessments, and data entry according to business processes.
* Verify design adherence to technical specifications and identify non-conformances.
* Respond to internal/external queries about projects through corporate systems.
* Follow change management processes for project adjustments.
* Prepare reports for submission.
* Manage workload to meet agreed targets.
* Provide technical support and advice to team members.
* Ensure health and safety in design.
* Plan activities to meet project goals, standards, and budgets.
* Prioritize work and balance resources/project priorities.
* Mentor/coach team members.
* Commit to exceptional customer service from all team members.
Required Qualifications
* Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
* Eligible for corporate membership of The Institution of Engineers, Australia.
* 8-10 years' experience in utility engineering companies.
* Extensive knowledge of distribution standards, policies, and procedures.
* Distribution network design, drafting, and estimating processes.
* Power system primary plant and secondary plant/systems.
* Best practice project and work management processes.
* Understanding of interactions between related disciplines impacting distribution design.
* Sound understanding of distribution construction practices and processes.
* Provide technical leadership, coaching mentoring.
* Skills in problem solving, root cause analysis, priority setting, activity planning, and organization.
* Able to identify and develop innovative new methods, processes, and systems for continuous improvement.
