Growing rapidly and about to embark on an exciting season of AFL & NRL coverage, Zero Digital Sports has an exciting vacancy for a Marketing Coordinator based in our Cremorne, Victoria office to provide support to the content, project and digital teams.
The Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in planning, executing, and optimising marketing initiatives across digital platforms, products, and campaigns. This role supports the growth of the company's audience, brand presence, and commercial objectives by coordinating projects, maintaining marketing channels, analysing performance data, and ensuring consistent brand communication.
This is an ideal role for an early-career marketing professional looking to build hands‐on experience across digital marketing, media, and audience growth within a fast‐paced sports media environment.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Campaigns & Projects
* Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns across digital channels, including web, email, social media, and paid advertising
* Coordinate the launch and promotion of new digital products, content initiatives, downloads, and commercial campaigns
* Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and internal coordination to ensure projects are delivered on time
* Track campaign performance and prepare post‐campaign reports, including insights, recommendations, and optimisation opportunities
* Support ongoing audience growth, engagement, and brand awareness initiatives
Digital Channels & Content Management
* Maintain and update the corporate website, including publishing content, updating pages, and ensuring accuracy and consistency
* Manage and maintain the company's LinkedIn presence, including creating and scheduling posts, promoting announcements, and supporting employer brand initiatives
* Support corporate social media planning and execution across key platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, X, Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
* Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all marketing channels and materials
Media Relations & Distribution
* Build and maintain media contact lists for press releases, announcements, and marketing communications
* Develop and manage media distribution lists across sports, media, and industry contacts
* Assist in coordinating press releases, media outreach, and promotional distribution
* Existing relationships or contact lists within sports media, digital media, or journalism are highly valued
Paid Media & Campaign Execution
* Assist in the planning, setup, and management of paid social media campaigns (Meta, LinkedIn, X, etc.)
* Monitor paid campaign performance and assist with optimisation to improve reach, engagement, and conversions
* Support testing of audiences, messaging, and creative to improve campaign effectiveness
Analytics, Reporting & Insights
* Track, analyse, and report on digital marketing performance across website, social media, email, and paid channels
* Use tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), social platform analytics, and other reporting tools to measure performance
* Assist in building regular marketing performance reports and dashboards
* Identify trends, insights, and opportunities to improve marketing effectiveness and audience growth
Marketing Operations & Support
* Coordinate marketing calendars, schedules, and internal communication
* Maintain marketing assets, documentation, and brand resources
* Assist with email marketing campaigns, audience segmentation, and CRM/database updates
* Support broader marketing and commercial initiatives as required
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
* Approximately 1–3 years of experience in a marketing, digital marketing, or marketing coordinator/executive role
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
* Experience managing or supporting social media accounts
* Experience using content management systems (CMS) and publishing digital content
* Experience using Google Analytics (GA4) and platform analytics tools
* Understanding of digital marketing principles, including social, content, and audience growth
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
Preferred Qualifications
* Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related discipline
* Experience running paid social media campaigns (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads, or similar)
* Experience maintaining website content using CMS platforms (WordPress preferred)
* Experience preparing marketing performance reports and analysing campaign results
* Experience building or maintaining media contact lists or press distribution lists
* Existing media or sports media contacts highly regarded
* Experience with email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor, HubSpot, etc.)
* Familiarity with SEO principles
* Experience with CRM platforms
* Interest in sports, media, or digital publishing is highly desirable
