Role Business Development Manager - Major Pursuits role based in Macquarie Park, reporting to the General Manager, Projects. This role is responsible for generating leads, opportunities and securing sales through early engagement and strong business partnering and negotiations. The role will primarily focus on Major Pursuits across multiple market segments and partner closely with large-scale clients to design total building management and other Schneider Electric solutions, utilizing our EcoStruxure platform to drive efficiencies and sustainability for the client and grow the services delivered by Schneider Electric. Responsibilities Work as a true sales hunter, generating and following up on leads and creating interest in Schneider's offerings Achieve growth through solid relationships with prospective clients, gaining detailed understanding of their needs, pain points and strategic direction Communicate and interact with business decision makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements as well as market opportunities Negotiate and close sales that vary in contract length and fee range Work with marketing management to ensure promotional activity is carried out to enhance the company image and increase brand awareness Provide regular feedback on Schneider's positioning in the marketplace Coordinate engagement of Schneider SMEs and internal resources ensuring effective coordination of client engagement, early positioning, C-Suite alignment and presenting Schneider Electric value proposition across multiple stakeholders and the client’s organization and the Construct value chain Qualifications A proven track record with solution selling to large-scale, complex clients Familiarity with selling digital offerings especially across BMS, ISP, Security Systems, ICN and the like Solid experience within the Construction Industry, and either selling to or from clients as an End User or a Consultant Experience building relationships and confidently selling to Tier One contractors and subcontractors Persistence to follow up of leads and movement of prospects through the sales cycle Experience in managing tenders, and tailoring tenders to provide unique solutions to suit customer requirements The ability to develop a bid strategy and bring it to life Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in presenting and liaising with many different senior stakeholders within the C-suite of major local and global companies Tertiary qualified, complemented with excellent customer service experience in direct customer facing role i.e., Sales or Client Relationship Manager Experience with utilizing Salesforce as your main CRM tool Benefits Generous salary and incentives on offer Fully Maintained Vehicle supplied Flexibility at Work and Global Family Leave Option to participate in our Share Program, with discounts and company contribution for employees Potential opportunity to purchased further annual leave Discounts at major vendors such as Clipsal, JB-HiFi and Hoyts just to name a few through our employee rewards schemes Continuous training on Schneider products Exposure to a market leader in building management, optimisation and energy monitoring Working in a well-balanced team and inclusive environment Application & Compliance APPLY TODAY!
