Opportunity: Program Manager
Are you ready to take on a pivotal leadership role in a dynamic, high-impact environment? Our Defence Mission Systems business, through the AWS team, is seeking a seasoned Program Manager.
This role involves overseeing the delivery of the Dock Operations and Reticulated Services Contract (DORSC) program of works. This strategic contract involves managing diverse operations and maintenance activities within the Garden Island Defence Precinct, including operating the largest graving dock in the southern hemisphere.

Role Purpose
1. Provide stewardship over the entire program, including routine services, dockyard capability maintenance, planned maintenance reviews, operation of the maintenance material staging facility, and the CCGD civil maintenance program.
2. Deliver customer-centric solutions and guide a diverse team to achieve contract delivery within budget, schedule, and performance goals.
3. Act as a key interface for stakeholders, including the Navy, Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, and Estate & Infrastructure Group.
4. Champion safety and compliance.
Candidate Requirements
1. Solid experience managing large-scale contracts, meeting KPIs, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
2. Familiarity with Navy engineering, maintenance systems, and Defence Seaworthiness Management System.
3. Strong understanding of contracted requirements, technical specifications, and standards.
4. Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, and experience leading diverse teams.
5. Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, or related field.
6. Ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity to make effective commercial and financial decisions.
7. Ideally, familiarity with ASDEFCON Complex/Strategic Contracting Framework.
