The Position
Toowoomba Grammar School is seeking an inspiring and collaborative leader for the position of Director of Performing Arts (Co-Curricular). This role is open to candidates from teaching or non-teaching backgrounds who have substantial experience and a passion for the performing arts, along with proven industry experience and a successful track record in designing and delivering student programs.
This pivotal role sits within the Co-Curricular Activities Department and spans the whole school, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of the Performing Arts Program from Prep to Year 12.
The successful candidate will champion inclusive, high-quality artistic experiences in music, drama, and dance, fostering creativity, confidence, and community among students. Working collaboratively with staff across Junior and Senior Schools, the Director will ensure the program's alignment with the School's philosophy and educational goals, manage departmental resources, and lead ensembles and productions that promote excellence and personal development.

The Organisation
Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) was founded in 1875. It is an independent non-denominational day and boarding school for boys with a total enrolment of 1,200 from Preparatory to Year 12. There are approximately 300 boarders in the School coming predominantly from throughout Queensland, Northern New South Wales and the Northern Territory. The School's campus covers
20.5 hectares and is located one kilometre from the centre of Toowoomba.
