About the Opportunity
This role offers a unique chance for medical experts to contribute their expertise to the health service while enjoying the benefits of working in a rural environment. As a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, you will be responsible for providing specialist medical services to patients, including elective surgery, trauma theatre, orthopaedic and fracture clinics, daily ward rounds, and on-call roster duties.
You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including permanent Registrars and Junior Medical Officers (JMOs), to deliver high-quality patient care. Your contributions will be valued and respected, and you will have opportunities for professional development and growth within the district.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth and on-call services as determined by HNELHD.
* Attendance and availability during rostered work hours and whilst on-call including clinical handover, clinical supervision, teaching and for emergency and routine care as determined by HNELHD.
* Provision of education and research as determined by HNELHD.
* Meeting fellowship, Royal Australian College of Surgeons (Orthopaedic Surgery) and/or specialist registration with AHPRA requirements.
