The Role
The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is seeking an experienced People Business Partner to join our team.
The People Business Partner function, within the people branch, acts as an interface between the Corporate Services Group and Austrade’s senior internal clients, serving as a trusted HR advisor for Austrade’s Executive and General Managers.
Key qualities include the ability to manage competing priorities, provide resourcing advice, interpret policy, plan to mitigate HR-related issues, and deliver exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will be solution-focused, detail-oriented, skilled at managing stakeholders across various seniority levels, highly organized, trustworthy, adaptable to ambiguity, and possess excellent communication skills. Knowledge or experience in human resources and the ability to develop networks across Austrade are essential.
Duties Include
Providing strategic and innovative HR advice to senior leaders to improve workplace relationships, morale, capability, engagement, and productivity.
Advising on complex HR issues, including supporting managers in performance discussions.
Supporting projects such as policy reviews, offshore remuneration reviews, performance cycles, and capability development.
Assisting with Workforce Planning activities by providing data and advice.
Offering guidance on organizational structure, resourcing, recruitment, and related policies and processes.
