What you'll do
As a Merchandise Manager, you are responsible for developing and executing the merchandising strategy for a significant business within the Fresh Commercial team.
Critical to this role is leading, coaching and developing a team of buyers to deliver a market leading and compelling customer offer that achieves ambitious Sales, Profit, and Market Share objectives in the short and longer term.
Leveraging data and insights, you will be instrumental in ensuring a compelling customer proposition across all relevant sales channels, requiring a dual focus on delivering short-term operational goals across thousands of products and shaping the long-term strategic direction for your designated portfolio.
A key part of your role will be partnering across the business to deliver on the trade plan, ensuring it is well executed both in store and online.
In addition, you are responsible for building strategic partnerships with suppliers to ensure we are well positioned to deliver on our trade plan today and in the future.
We have two Merchandise Manager vacancies.
One for Fruit and another for Vegetables.
What you'll bring
The successful candidate will bring relevant retail buying experience and a passion for customers and products.
You will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and have a proven track record of delivering strong commercial results.
You will be able to think strategically and apply sound business acumen to develop customer-led, market leading category plans.
Crucial skills include the ability to build strong partnerships and negotiate and influence at all levels.
These roles are located in Sydney.
