- Two positions available - Full Time, Contracted Roles - Duration of 9.5 months or 7.5 months
- These roles are Senior Pharmacist Partnered Pharmacist Medication Prescribing (PPMP) roles as part of the CARe-Med Study
- Training and credentialling for PPMP will be required for successful applicants who are not currently credentialled
About the role
As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the organisation, management, and operation of the designated pharmacy area, delivering a broad and high-level range of pharmacy services. This role calls for the use of independent and autonomous judgement in providing medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals, all in line with hospital and divisional policies, procedures, and professional pharmacy standards.
You will play a pivotal role in optimising patient outcomes by ensuring the safe, effective, and cost-conscious use of pharmaceuticals. Through your expertise, you will implement strategies that promote the highest standards of pharmaceutical care, supporting both patients and multidisciplinary teams. About You
You will be a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist with robust clinical knowledge and leadership capability. With a commitment to delivering safe and effective pharmaceutical care, you will bring both technical expertise and a collaborative approach to your role.
- Qualifications – Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and registered, or eligible for registration, with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Skills and Attributes – Strong communication and public relations skills, excellent organisational ability, proven problem-solving capacity, and the capability to lead, educate and support others while driving service improvements.
- Experience – Extensive background in hospital pharmacy practice, with demonstrated leadership, supervisory and management experience.
- Knowledge – Professional and technical competence in pharmacy practice, underpinned by a comprehensive understanding of codes of practice, standards, and contemporary service delivery.
