About the ROLE:
* Permanent Full-time Role
As an O&M Site Supervisor you will be responsible for delivering Operations & Maintenance Services for your allocated client sites, as part of the nxzen Energy Assets Development Division.
Primarily focussed on providing Operations & Maintenance services at a site approximately 45 mins south of Port Pirie, with occasional travel (around one week per month) to support O&M activities across other managed sites in South Australia.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
* Operations and maintenance management of the asset (BESS at primary site, solar farm at other nxzen managed sites) to meet client KPIs and contractual obligations.
* Site Safety processes and procedures, with the support of nxzen Operations & Safety Management team members.
* Working with the O&M Manager to stablish and continuously improve the operations and maintenance processes and procedures.
* Working with the O&M Manager to engage and manage sub-contracted maintenance activities- Managing subcontractor relationships including project scope and proposal review.
* Working with the O&M Manager to manage delivery of services budget or less.
* Client and internal reporting relating to the services.
* Collaborating with nxzen's wider Operations & Maintenance team, Contracts Manager, Safety Manager, Project Engineering Team, Finance Team and other related staff involved directly or indirectly in delivering the service.
* Overall site management and coordinating all aspects of the site service delivery until contract completion.
* Client and project site stakeholder management in coordination with your direct manager.
* Identifying likely problems and proactively taking preventive measures to mitigate and avoid potential project risks and delays.
* Originating new opportunities such as extending the existing services.
* Interfacing with equipment suppliers to price equipment procurement, assess equipment options with engineering input as needed and developing procurement schedules.
* Act as the site based in-house resource across connection processes; Interface with NSP's and AEMO on connection and GPS.
* Implementing required site-based operational controls as may be required to ensure compliance with the GPS (e.g. addressing non-conformances to trading signals, manually controlling site dispatch or charging).
* Promptly responding to and investigating Alarms or incidents to maintain site safety and compliance with the GPS.
* Supporting transition periods at time of Award from development activities to project delivery and then as required supporting delivery.
* Supporting site commissioning activities, working closely with Commissioning Manager and or EPC Project Manager.
* Implement the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to manage, plan routine maintenance (Corrective, Preventive work), work order creation and close out and generate reports.
* Ensure the timely maintenance repair of plant components as well as resolve problems that may arise.
* Emphasise strong focus on preventive/predictive maintenance to ensure long term profitability, plant reliability and risk minimization.
About YOU
* Qualifications as an Electrician, with High Voltage Switching Operator training.
* Experience in planning and operating High Voltage Switching.
* Proven capability and experience in managing all aspects of Operations & Maintenance of power assets.
* Experience in viewing, extracting and interpreting data in SCADA systems.
* Proven ability in managing subcontractors against their contracts.
* Proven experience in health, safety and environmental management as it relates to all aspects of operations and service delivery.
* Ability to appreciate the general engineering principles relevant to the site.
* Demonstrated renewable energy industry experience.
* Ability to communicate with executive level partners and customers.
* ideally renewable energy assets (BESS and solar farms) (Training will be provided in Operating the assets).
* Proven expertise and experience in power engineering (electrical) including on connection to the grid.
* Proven expertise and experience in commissioning of renewable assets including solar farms.
* Proven capability and experience as a Senior Project Engineer including EPC turnkey pricing.
* Proven ability to input to EPC project development.
* Proven ability in planning, scope documentation, design, estimating and project scheduling. An understanding of time and motion studies as they relate to the repetitive tasks of solar farm builds is needed given the costs associated with the works.
* Ability to appreciate the general engineering principles relevant to project design, construction and commissioning activities.
