A small family run bookkeeping practice servicing many clients in various industries. We act as our clients "Accounts Department" and take pride in helping our clients stay compliant and organised with their statutory obligations and record keeping requirements.
We have an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant/Junior Bookkeeper to join our team at our Kilmore office
Key duties for this role include:
- Processing/coding source documents via Xero/Hubdoc accounting software,
- Data entry, reconciling bank transactions,
- Monthly /Quarterly Bank Reconciliation reports,
- Liaising with clients eg. requesting paperwork, further Information
- Invoicing on behalf of clients, Accounts receivable and some collection of overdue accounts
- Management of accounts payable, reconciliation of supplier statements
- Payroll, manage employee records
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS/PAYGW & Superannuation
- Providing administrative support to the team as needed.
We are looking for a team member who has an interest in accounts & bookkeeping, has a positive, friendly manner
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or a similar role, minimum 2 years' experience
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to focus and great organisational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
This role is Permanent part time with days and hours being Monday /Tuesday and Thursday 9.00am to 3.30pm 18 hours per week.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
