Job Overview
The primary role of this position involves operating vehicles and equipment in accordance with training, instructions or operating procedures and company regulations. The candidate is required to ensure the presentation of the vehicle, inside and out, is of a high standard.
* This includes daily maintenance and safety checks on the vehicle and/or equipment as and when required.
* The driver/operator will be responsible for servicing kerbside recycling bins in the designated area.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate a side lift, left-hand drive, or rear lift waste collection vehicle in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
* Maintain a clean and well-presented vehicle at all times.
* Perform regular safety checks and undertake any necessary maintenance tasks.
* Service kerbside recycling bins within the designated area.
Requirements:
* A heavy rigid (HR) licence or Class 4 licence – minimum requirement.
* Previous experience operating a side lift, left-hand drive, or rear lift waste collection vehicle.
* Desirable but not essential: previous experience in the waste management industry.
* Side-lift driver/operator experience.
* Council contract experience.
