About the Role
Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting across the Group. This role oversees core accounting functions, ensures strong financial controls, and supports compliance, month-end processes, and strategic finance initiatives. You'll be a trusted partner to the CFO, contributing to both operational excellence and informed decision-making.
You will take ownership of core accounting functions, contribute to strong financial controls, and provide valuable financial insights to support both operational and strategic objectives.
What You'll Be Responsible For
* Delivering monthly and annual financial reporting, including group P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, management reports, and consolidation support.
* Managing statutory and regulatory compliance across the Group, including BAS, payroll tax, superannuation, FBT, and workers compensation.
* Overseeing cash flow, banking, loan management, and intercompany transactions to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Supporting accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, receipting, and debt follow-up for camp and equipment hire.
* Maintaining asset, insurance, and compliance registers, and ensuring accurate cost allocation across systems.
* Processing executive payroll and providing backup support across the broader finance function when required.
* Working closely with the CFO on financial analysis, projects, reporting improvements, and ad-hoc initiatives.
About You
You are a proactive and highly organised accounting professional with a strong eye for detail and the confidence to work across multiple entities. You enjoy collaborating with both finance and operational teams and take pride in delivering accurate, compliant, and meaningful financial information.
You'll bring:
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
* CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
* Proven experience in a senior accounting role, ideally in a multi-entity environment.
* Strong knowledge of Australian tax and statutory obligations.
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and time-management skills.
* High levels of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
