Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Health Specialist to join our team. As a key player in promoting a culture of health and wellness, you will play a vital role in fostering a community that values physical and mental well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement individualized health programs for site personnel and eligible dependents.
* Collaborate with a wellness team to design and execute comprehensive wellness initiatives, providing fitness services to the site population.
* Instruct engaging group exercise classes, including high-intensity interval training, kickboxing, step aerobics, yoga, strength training, boot camp, Zumba, cycling, and cardiovascular exercises.
* Maintain equipment in safe working condition and ensure a clean and organized environment.
* Manage multiple fitness facilities, including pools, basketball courts, and locker rooms.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* Must be a US or Australian citizen.
* Minimum three years of experience in the health and fitness industry.
* Proven ability to work with diverse client populations, possessing knowledge of exercise physiology and functionality of relevant equipment.
* Certified Active Certificate Level II (or higher) Fitness Australia, or equivalent certifications from recognized associations such as Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AF AA), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), American Council on Exercise (ACE), National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist or NSCA Certified Personal Trainer.
* Nutritionist certification recognized by an Australian government registered program, such as those acknowledged by the Nutritionist Association of Australia or the Nutritionist Society of Australia.
