Central Development Corporation is seeking a motivated, experienced Architect to join our growing development team.

The role would suit someone keen to build practical experience across real development projects, with a particular focus on modular building, efficient construction methods, and practical design outcomes.
About the Role
The successful applicant will assist with the planning, design, documentation and coordination of a range of residential, accommodation and mixed‐use development projects. You will work closely with the CEO, management, consultants, builders, planners and other stakeholders to help progress projects from concept through to approval and delivery. A key focus of the role will be modular building design, including the development of practical, cost‐effective and repeatable building solutions that can be adapted across multiple sites. The applicant must have the appropriate licences and qualifications to work in‐house as the lead Architect.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing concept designs, layouts and design options for development sites.
* Progressing Development Applications and coordinating the consultants through to DA approval.
* Progressing Building Applications and coordinating the consultants through to BA / Operational works approval.
* Assisting with feasibility studies and early‐stage project planning.
* Preparing drawings, schedules and documentation for review.
* Working with consultants, engineers, planners and builders.
* Assisting with council and planning submissions.
* Researching modular building systems, prefabricated construction and efficient design methods.
* Reviewing site constraints and helping develop practical design solutions.
* Supporting project coordination from design through to construction.
* Maintaining accurate records, drawings and project documentation.
* Assisting with design presentations and internal reports.
Skills and Experience Required
* Relevant qualifications in architecture.
* Proven track record in design and documentation skills.
* Competency with architectural drafting software such as Revit, AutoCAD, ArchiCAD or similar.
* An understanding of planning, building approvals and construction documentation.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Good communication and organisational skills.
* A practical, commercial and problem‐solving mindset.
* The ability to work with multiple projects at the same time.
* A willingness to learn and take direction.
