Site Engineer - Electrical
We are seeking a dedicated Site Engineer - Electrical to join our Energy Hubs and Substations teams on the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) Transmission Project. The role involves ensuring quality, environmental, and schedule aspects, and supporting planning and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.
* Ensure non-conformances are recorded and corrective actions initiated as soon as possible.
* Complete all outstanding defects as required by the program.
* Prepare Inspection Test Reports and checklists that accurately reflect contract requirements.
* Provide support on planning the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved.
* Assist the Project Engineer with development of construction planning documents and monitor implementation.
* Maintain project schedule by monitoring project progress and coordinating activities.
* Assist with preparing project status reports and change orders.
* Assess progress daily and prepare plan of works for daily cost planning meeting (if held).
* Ensure that the requirements of the Contract are being satisfied at work crew level.
* Coordinate resource allocation, encouraging effective teamwork and fostering a positive attitude toward organisational objectives.
* Track subcontractor resources daily and record accurately.
* Prepare cost plan/resources for daily cost planning meeting.
Criteria for Selection
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Relevant tertiary education.
* Tier 1 Contractor experience preferred on large scale projects.
* 0 to 3 years post graduate experience in a construction/engineering environment.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others.
* Established and stewarded overall delivery work plans.
* Ensured all relevant regulatory requirements are satisfied.
* Competent in planning and organising work schedules.
* Working knowledge of HS&E requirements and implementation.
* Clear communication – verbal and written.
Site engineer positions are drive in, drive out; camp style accommodation is provided for 14 days onsite and 7 days off site on a roster-based arrangement out of the Central West Orana Region.
