Our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing company based in Canning Vale, is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee machining, fabrication, and production activities. This senior position plays a critical role in driving manufacturing performance, team leadership, and operational excellence across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
* Maintain a zero‑harm safety culture and ensure compliance with all WHS policies
* Conduct daily inspections and participate in hazard assessments and safety initiatives
Team Leadership
* Lead and support Machining & Fabrication Team Leaders
* Mentor fitters, trades assistants, and apprentices
* Oversee training, performance, and skill development
Production Management
* Meet production targets with high quality and reliability
* Coordinate with the Planner to align production with sales
* Maintain KPIs and ensure delivery, quality, and cost targets are met
Operational Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
* Lead LEAN/CI initiatives across machining and fabrication
* Reduce lead times, improve cycle times and enhance equipment effectiveness
Equipment & Resource Management
* Oversee machine, tooling and equipment selection and maintenance
* Coordinate building repairs and machine servicing
* Manage programming changes and resource planning
Quality Assurance
* Monitor QC metrics and maintain compliance with quality standards
* Investigate and resolve quality matters with corrective actions
Stakeholder Communication
* Work closely with the Engineering & Operations Manager
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams
* Ensure clear communication across all operational departments
Requirements
* Trade qualified in a mechanical, fabrication or related discipline
* Leadership experience in machining, fabrication or engineering
* Strong workshop and production management skills
* Ability to drive safety, quality and efficiency
* Confident communicator with solid problem‑solving ability
* Ability to coordinate teams, schedules and workflow
