What To Expect

The Tesla Energy team is fast-paced and committed to enabling the energy transition. The Sales Engineering team provides a unique opportunity and exposure to business development and engineering which supports some of the largest utility‐scale renewable energy storage projects in the world.

The Intern will be a key technical member of the commercial team that evaluates and executes new Tesla Megapack sales. This role will help to accelerate and scale our Megapack business by utilising first principles to engage with clients and understand their requirements, create tools and refine processes. You must have a genuine passion for engineering products that fundamentally change the world's energy infrastructure and a desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

This 6-month full-time internship opportunity will provide opportunities to grow technically, professionally, and personally.

What You'll Do
* Build, test and scale internal tools and dashboards to accelerate the sale and deployment of utility energy storage projects
* Support and coordinate energy storage project technical workstreams across engineering and business functions
* Work closely with the team to develop and apply storage application modelling and analysis
* Work with theSales Engineering team to identify the best commercial and technical fit of Tesla's technology to support the development of business cases for projects
* Analyse existing processes, identify and solve for inefficiencies
* Understand regional energy markets and utilities, define functional requirements with engineering colleagues, and work with teams to evaluate new market segments
What You'll Bring
* Recent graduate or pursuing an Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Systems, Mechatronics, or relevant Engineering degree
* Strong foundation in electrical engineering fundamentals, with an understanding of power systems (desirable)
* Proactive problem-solver with a positive attitude and the ability to tackle complex challenges
* Familiarity with building excel models to understand technical and financial impact
* Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills
* Available for a full-time 6-month internship
