We are currently seeking a Lifestyle Enrichment Officer to join our Aged Care Community. This role will play a vital part in enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life of our residents through diverse and meaningful individual and group activities.
Working under the guidance of the Clinical Manager and Lifestyle Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of activities that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents. These may include arts and crafts, music therapy, exercise programs, and social events.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement activity plans that promote resident engagement and participation.
* Collaborate with other team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive approach to care.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to understand their needs and preferences.
* Maintain accurate records of resident activity participation and progress.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to resident activities.
Requirements:
* A Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (or equivalent qualification).
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an aged care setting.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A strong understanding of the AN-ACC framework and AutumnCare principles.
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* High level of empathy and genuine rapport with elderly residents and their families.
