Our healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and dedicated General Surgeon to join our clinical team in the beautiful Kimberley region of Western Australia. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the health outcomes of local and Indigenous communities.
We currently have one vacancy for a Full-Time Consultant General Surgeon to work at Broome Hospital. The successful candidate will be part of a diverse and challenging case mix, with opportunities to deliver high-quality surgical care and mentor junior doctors.
As the largest hospital in the Kimberley region, Broome Hospital offers exposure to a wide range of acuity levels and conditions. Our theatre complex consists of a Day Procedure Unit and two theatres, with diagnostic imaging services available on site. You will work closely with another full-time and a part-time Consultant Surgeon in Broome.
Collaboration is an essential aspect of our regional surgical team. You will participate in the shared departmental on-call roster, ensuring that our surgical team is available to respond to emergencies as the regional referral centre. Additionally, you will be required to undertake short periods of outreach within the region on a regular basis, providing essential surgical services to remote areas.
