Mind Australia is seeking a self-motivated and resilient Health Justice Lead Practitioner to work within the Melton area.
About this Role:
* This position offers a unique opportunity to provide practice leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary interprofessional team within the Mental Health and Wellbeing Local regarding our evidence-based health justice approach.
Key Responsibilities:
1. The successful candidate will be required to draw on their own lived experience of mental ill health, alcohol and other drugs challenges and recovery to inform their work and the work of the team.
2. You will utilise Mind's Peer Work Framework, Model of Peer Work and broader lived experience knowledge bases to guide your work/practice.
3. Providing training and upskilling to all staff within the Local through the creation and facilitation of professional development workshops is also an essential aspect of this role.
4. Coaching and mentoring Peer Practitioners and Community Mental Health Practitioners to provide quality support to people accessing the service is a key responsibility.
5. In addition to coaching and mentoring, you will also provide direct specialised services beyond those of the Peer Practitioners and Community Mental Health Practitioners.
