The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Psychology Student to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a student currently completing their psychology studies who is looking to gain hands-on experience within the NDIS and community health setting. You will work under supervision, supporting participants and the broader team while developing practical skills aligned with your studies.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with psychosocial assessments and participant-centred support planning under supervision
* Support the delivery of evidence-informed therapeutic and wellbeing interventions
* Assist participants to build capacity, independence, and confidence
* Work collaboratively with social workers, allied health professionals, families, and support networks
* Support documentation, progress notes, and reporting in line with NDIS requirements
* Participate in supervision, training, and professional development opportunities
About You
You are passionate about mental health and disability support, eager to learn, and committed to respectful, person-centred practice. You value collaboration and are motivated to build your skills in a real-world setting.
Essential Requirements
* Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate Psychology degree
* Interest in disability, mental health, and the NDIS
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
* Ability to work under supervision and follow professional guidance
* Current Working With Children Check
* Current Police Check
* Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
Desirable
* Previous experience in disability, mental health, or community services
* Familiarity with the NDIS framework
* Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with psychosocial disability

Pay: $35.00 – $50.00 per hour
