Temp Payroll Officer in the Northern Beaches - 2 days WFH

This investment management firm are working on a diverse portfolio of projects in the agriculture and infrastructure industry. They are seeking a temporary Payroll Officer to start ASAP to support their payroll function during a process of change.
Your new role
In this role, you will:
* Deliver accurate end-to-end payroll processing across multiple global entities.
* Manage monthly payroll variations, leave and overtime approvals, and off-cycle adjustments.
* Collaborate with People & Culture on onboarding, contract changes, and terminations.
* Respond to payroll queries promptly and maintain the payroll inbox professionally.
* Prepare payroll tax, superannuation/pension payments, and ensure compliance with deadlines.
* Post payroll-related journal entries and assist with month-end and year-end reconciliations.
* Produce reports on leave balances, long service leave reconciliations, and other ad-hoc reporting.
* Act as system administrator for payroll records and support process improvements
What you'll need to succeed
* Proven experience in Australian end-to-end payroll processing.
* Demonstrated experience with international payroll is highly desirable
* Ability to manage payroll across multiple remote locations.
* Intermediate Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently while building strong team relationships.
* High level of confidentiality and discretion.
* Positive, professional attitude and resilience during busy periods.
