About the role
We are on the lookout for a dynamic, proactive individual to take on the pivotal role of Laboratory Technician. Joining the Research and Development Team, this role is not just a job, but a journey into the heart of a fast-paced, innovative environment, perfectly suited for a recent chemistry/science graduate who enjoys laboratory work and has a genuine interest in in the application and use of hair and skin-care products.
Key Requirements/Duties
* Prepare formulations & samples of cosmetic & TGA (therapeutic) products for experimental investigation as well as samples to be sent to customers for evaluation.
* Prepare, evaluate, change, control and approve cosmetic batch documentation, including in-process testing specifications, formulation updates, manufacturing methods and bills of materials (BOMs) in Ostendo and Excel.
* Maintain equipment and materials in the laboratory, including performing pH meter calibrations and arranging the external calibration of the viscometer in accordance with its schedule.
* Prepare Technical documentation to support product regulatory compliance and maintain awareness of global regulatory frameworks.
* Provide technical assistance to management and production staff.
* Liaise with contract laboratories and suppliers
About you
* A tertiary qualification in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field.
* Current Drivers License (Essential)
* Previous experience as a Laboratory Technician, Laboratory Assistant, or similar laboratory-focused role.
* Knowledge of GMP, cosmetic formulation & global regulatory frameworks (preferable).
