We are seeking experienced cooks to join our kitchen team in Townsville. These roles are critical to maintaining daily production standards, upholding food quality benchmarks, and ensuring operational continuity.
Job Requirements
* To be successful in this role, you will need to measure, prepare, cook, and season various foods according to the menu.
* Select high-quality ingredients and oversee precise portioning, plating, and presentation to consistently maintain established culinary standards.
* Ensure proper storage per controlled temperature guidelines.
* Season dishes correctly during the cooking process to enhance flavour.
* Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure they meet established standards.
* Assess food items to ensure they meet quality and safety criteria.
* Cook orders in compliance with food health and safety standards & dietary requirements.
* Assist senior chefs by executing their direction into consistently high-quality dishes, maintaining efficiency and precision across all sections of the kitchen.
* Routine kitchen operations, including stock rotation, and necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
* Set up and organise workstations efficiently.
* Prepare ovens, utensils, and grills for shifts.
* Mitigate food wastage, maximise yield from food products.
* Maintain a strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (WHS) and HACCP protocols.
