The Perks: Attractive salary up to $200K - rewarding your experience and leadership capability Work with a market-leading agency known for innovation, professionalism, and culture Lead a high-performing, collaborative team with strong systems and support already in place Inner West location - well-established, well-resourced offices with a strong local reputation Influence growth and strategy - work closely with directors and drive the next phase of development Focus on training, development, and mentoring - shape a team and make a lasting impact Be the go-to expert - support compliance, legislation, and best practice operations Work in a business that values people - great team culture, strong retention, and leadership support The Position: In the role of Head of Department your key responsibilities will include: Lead, mentor, and support the Property Management team to foster a high-performing, professional and collaborative culture Deliver ongoing coaching, training, and one-on-one development for team members Oversee all property management functions including leasing, arrears, maintenance, inspections, bonds, rent reviews, lease renewals, and disputes Conduct weekly team meetings and monthly individual catch-ups Manage new staff onboarding and training Drive team performance through KPIs, feedback and accountability Handle escalated disputes or sensitive client matters with care and professionalism Maintain strong landlord, tenant, and contractor relationships Provide monthly reporting including: Monitor arrears daily and implement proactive follow-ups Review and improve departmental processes for efficiency and service delivery Stay across legislation changes and ensure team training and compliance Oversee financial performance, including fee collection Share regular updates with Directors, including fortnightly catch-ups and monthly departmental summaries Continuously look for opportunities to improve systems, processes and overall team performance The Person We're looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with a passion for people, performance, and process improvement. You'll bring strong operational knowledge of property management, a proactive mindset, and a genuine desire to lead and inspire others.
